A construction project for the Binh Ca Bridge was kicked off on October 18.

NDO – A project building the Binh Ca Bridge in the northern province of Tuyen Quang, a part of the Ho Chi Minh Highway, was kicked off at a ceremony taking place in Thai Binh commune, Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province on October 18.

The total length of the bridge and approaching roads is nearly 13km; the bridge is 543 metres long. The cantilever bridge will be built using an advanced technology in which box girders will be erected for cast-in-place balanced cantilever construction.

The total investment in the construction is over VND1 trillion (US$45 million) from Government bonds.

The bridge is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2018 to connect Tuyen Quang province with the Ho Chi Minh Highway, which is an arterial road for national industrialisation and modernisation, contributing to boosting socio-economic development, ensuring national defence and security for provinces and cities along the route and creating a linked transport system.
